Creating Strategies for Your Qigong Practice

How can you optimize your qigong for health? How do you set up immediate and long term goals in your practice?
Now that you have learned many qigong forms, it is time to strategize your practice to give you an edge in improving, enhancing, and repairing your body, as well as expanding your consciousness.
These are the keys to good health and longevity:
- Strength and flexibility of the muscular-skeletal system
- Optimal functioning of the internal organs
- Unblocked energetic channels
- A high level of the three treasures of life - jing, qi, and shen
- Stability of mind which allows the qi to penetrate bones, meridians, and energy centers.
- An expansive consciousness which creates space for energy to flow unblocked
Join Eva Wong and Suzann Duquette in using principles of strategy from Sunzi's Art of War to design, develop, and implement an effective plan of qigong practice to optimize the simultaneous cultivation of body and mind.
The best way to combat illness is not be ill in the first place.
The Qigong of Xiantianwujimen Taoism
Xiantianwujimen is a Daoist lineage founded by Chen Xiyi in 10th century China. “Xiantian” means primordial, “wuji” means limitless, and “men” means gate. The translated name of the lineage is Primordial Limitless Gate.
This lineage specializes in using qigong to simultaneously cultivate and transform body and mind. A hermit and household tradition, Xiantianwujimen has been transmitted uninterrupted for over a thousand years. Qigong techniques favored by this lineage include self-massage, tendon changing, calisthenics, marrow washing, and breath regulation.
Instruction of Xiantianwujimen qigong is offered by Eva Wong, a 19th generation carrier of the lineage, and by instructors authorized by the lineage.
