Integral Buddhism

Developing All Aspects of One’s Personhood
In his book, Integral Buddhism, Traleg Kyabgon Rinpoche explores how we can use every aspect of our lives—including our challenges, emotions, relationships, and personal struggles—as opportunities for growth and transformation. He presents the Buddhist teachings in a practical and accessible way for modern readers. Rather than encouraging us to escape difficult experiences, this book invites us to work with them directly, using them as a path toward greater self-awareness, resilience, and compassion. It offers a thoughtful guide for anyone interested in personal growth and in moving beyond the limiting beliefs and habits that can keep us feeling stuck.

The precious teachings presented here by Traleg Kyabgon Rinpoche the Ninth represent a shift from his previous teaching style. While an extensive record exists of Rinpoche making commentaries on traditional texts, the teachings found in this book share the spontaneous outpouring of wisdom from Rinpoche’s heart towards the last two years of his life. Rinpoche focused on integral Buddhism during this time, believing it to be a very important approach. These teachings represent a culmination of particular issues, misunderstandings, and concerns of the Western student of Buddhism and also demonstrate a reframing or reconstruction of traditional Buddhism within the contemporary context while keeping true to tradition, and at the same time being relevant to our modern lives.

This is a standing invitation to join the Tuesday night study group. The class discusses the topics from a 3 yana perspective with an emphasis on the Vajrayana. The group has a range of participants from newer students to older students and with diverse backgrounds. So the study group is more than the book and the reading. Participants are invited to take turns reading and facilitating the group
