A Community Summer Solstice Celebration - 2026

Join us for a joyful afternoon of picnic food, summer light, and community on the land.
Join us for Midsummer’s Day, our annual summer solstice celebration, where the longest light of the year meets good food, good company, and a little bit of joyful chaos. Everyone is welcome, from the regional Shambhala family to neighbors in Barnet and St. Johnsbury and anyone in the mood for a relaxed summer afternoon on the land.
The Center will provide:
- Grilled brats
- Burgers
- Hot dogs
- Veggie burgers
- Non-alcoholic beverages
If you’d like to bring something along, you’re warmly invited to add:
- A dish to share, such as a salad, side, or dessert
- Lawn chairs
- Your preferred beverage, alcoholic or non-alcoholic
Come hungry, come relaxed, and come ready for an easy afternoon of summer, community, and picnic energy.
General Schedule
- 8:45 - 12:30 pm You are also warmly invited to attend a pre-celebration meditation session. Learn more at: Half-Day Meditation
- 12:30 – 1:30 pm Lunch (Donations are appreciated but not required!)
- 1:00 – 3:00 pm Kite flying, frisbee throwing and other lawn games that appear!
