Caring for Body & Mind: Part II
Enhanced Qigong 3 - Strengthening Your Generative Energy & Building Bone Marrow

With a Special Focus on Creative & Sexual Energy and Healthy Aging
A 5-Day Qigong Level 3 Retreat
The Keys to a Long Healthy Life:
Strengthening generative energy and building bone marrow are key to living a long and healthy life. Qigong, meditation, and lifestyle are the three pillars of self-care that can help us cultivate these essential substances and move through life with vitality and health.
- Qigong Exercises: The Level 3 practices of qigong continue to build strength in our muscles and bones, regain flexibility in our tendons, and cultivate generative energy (jing), which is the foundation of youthful vitality.
- Taoist meditation: Taoist meditation practice supports the cultivation and conservation of jing by working with and refining consciousness.
- Lifestyle: When qigong and meditation are supported by a lifestyle that emphasizes replenishing generative energy and practicing balanced living, we are able to enjoy life and age well.
This retreat presents techniques and practices of the three pillars of self-care:
- Qigong: Learn and practice four sets of qigong forms: Huatu Five Animals, Immortals’ Guide to Breath Regulation and Self-Massage (Part 1), Red Phoenix Calisthenics (Part 1) and Zhangzhuan Standing Qigong (Part 1). These forms work with:
- Generative Energy & Bone Marrow: These qigong techniques specialize in strengthening jing and building bone marrow
- Muscles, Tendons & Ligaments: The postures continue the path of Qigong 1-2 in strengthening muscles and creating greater flexibility of tendons and ligaments.
- Internal Energy: The Qigong 3 forms continue to build our reservoir of internal energy and work with circulating it through meridians.
- Meditation: Instruction in Nei Guan (internal observation), a form of Taoist meditation, enhances our awareness of energy levels in the body, which supports us in conserving and nourishing generative energy through lifestyle choices.
- Lifestyle: The program also includes discussion of the lifestyle that nourishes and conserves generative energy, and introduces tools supporting this.

This retreat can be used to fulfill the requirement necessary for Qigong Level 4.
