Laura Simms met Chogyam Trungpa, RInpoche in 1978. She is a senior teacher of Shambhala Buddhism and Dharma Art.

Professionally she is a storyteller and writer dedicated to compassionate action in the world. She performs, and teaches worldwide and lives in New York City.
