Our address is 369 Patneaude Lane, Barnet, Vermont, 05821.
If you are driving directly to Karmê Chöling, take exit 18 (Barnet/Peacham) off Interstate 91.
From the south take a left.
From the north take a right.
Drive for one-half mile, and take the second right onto Patneaude Lane.
Please note: Patneaude Lane is a small, rural road. It is unpaved and quite steep. During the winter, please be mindful of snow and ice.

Trains, Planes & Automobiles
Following is how to get to Karmê Chöling if you aren't driving your own car from home. There's three main sections:
- Air Travel which can get you to a regional city like Boston, New York, Lebanon or Burlington.
- Ground Transportation which takes you from the regional cities to a pick-up location, where you can get to KCL by car.

Air Travel
NOTE: Even though Burlington and Manchester airports are closer in proximity to Karmê Chöling, we HIGHLY recommend flying into Boston airport or Lebanon Regional airport if you will NOT be renting a car; it is far less work to get here from those locations.
Logan International Airport – Boston, MA

Recommended ground transportation: Dartmouth Coach from Logan Airport to Hanover, NH. To get from Hanover, NH to Karmê Chöling, you will need to make arrangements for a car.
Burlington International Airport – Burlington, VT
Distance from Karmê Chöling: About 2 hours by car
Recommended ground transportation: Vermont Tour and Charter from Burlington Airport to Karmê Chöling.
Manchester Boston Regional Airport – Manchester, NH
Distance from Karmê Chöling: About 2 hours 15 minutes by car
Recommended ground transportation: Greyhound Bus from Manchester Airport to Hanover, NH. From Hanover you will need to make arrangements for a car.
Lebanon Regional Airport – Lebanon, NH

*Additional instructions for Limocar:
- Get a bus ticket for your preferred time/date from Montreal to Montpelier, Vermont.
- From the VT Transit Center in Montpelier, walk 3 minutes to the bus stop just outside the State Street Subway Sandwich chain restaurant (from the Transit Center, walk on Main St. towards State Street, take a left on State Street, Subway is on your left). You will need to catch the bus called Route 84 / US 2 Commuter (Use U.S. currency on entry). You can check the schedules here.
- Stay on the Route 84 / US 2 Commuter bus to the last stop, which is the St. Johnsbury Welcome Center in St. Johnsbury Vermont (it takes about an hour and 20 minutes).
- Have a pick-up arranged from St. Johnsbury Welcome Center to Karme Choling (15-minute car ride). You can arrange a taxi or uber to KCL from there.
Automobiles
Car Rental
Rental cars are available at all major airports. If you are driving from Boston airport during the day, we highly recommend taking Hwy 93 through the beautiful White Mountains. Hwy 93 ends at Hwy 91 which you should take South to the Barnet exit.
Uber
VERY IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT USING UBER: Please read this entire section
Uber Uber has service from the Hanover / White River Junction / Lebanon area to Barnet. This will accommodate you if you are coming in with the Dartmouth Coach to Hanover, by airplane at the Lebanon airport, or by train into White River Junction.
You will need to reserve your Uber ride 3–5 days in advance. Uber is not a reliable "on-demand" option in this region the way it is in a city. It needs to be prearranged.
