Visiting Us

Welcome to Karmê ChölingWe welcome day visitors in addition to program participants and retreatants. If you would like to stop by for a visit, please park in the first half of our upper parking lot on the left before you approach the main house. Those with accessibility needs are welcome to drive up to the house where there are designated spaces. Come into the main entrance and check in at our reception desk. We’d be glad to give you a tour or directions for exploration of the land on your own.

Day visitors are welcome to join us for the evening meditation session at 5:30pm. Visitors are also welcome to join us at meals for a contribution of $7 per meal. Meal times are as follows:

Breakfast 8:00am
Lunch 12:30pm
Dinner 6:30pm

Karmê Chöling is a smoke-free environment, except in designated areas. Pets are not allowed due to their impact on the wildlife. Also, due to our remote location, cell phones do not get reception beyond our parking lot.  Electronic devices are allowed only in designated areas.

Environment

Karmê Chöling is located on 700 acres of rolling hills in northeastern Vermont. The center features six meditation halls, a Zen archery range, a one-acre organic garden, private and shared rooms, and dining facilities. We enjoy warm summers, spectacular New England fall foliage, crisp, snowy winters, and beautiful, temperate spring seasons.

Attending a Program

To register for a program, go to our program calendar listing and choose the program you would like to attend. Click on the “register” button, complete the form, and click “submit.” You can pay your deposit online, or by sending a check or money order through the mail. You are fully registered for a program when we receive this deposit. You can also call (802) 633-2384 with your credit card information, or fax your completed registration form to (802) 633-3012.
