HYBRID: Weekendthün: A 3-Day Meditation Retreat

with Shastri Bill Brauer and Ella Reznikova

November 26 - 28

Meditators sit in Main Meditation Hall at Karme Choling Meditation Retreat Center

Mindful-Awareness Meditation

A “weekendthün” is a powerful and in-depth mini-retreat focused on the practice of mindful-awareness meditation. This technique of sitting meditation, of being with our mind and body, transforms how we relate to ourselves and brings mindfulness in real life.

Loving-Kindness Towards Ourselves

The weekendthün meditation intensive will also explore the Shambhala principle of basic goodness. At our core, we and all others are fundamentally worthy and complete. Learning this principle is a journey.  By discovering our own inherent basic goodness we make friends with who we are and we draw out our inherent fearlessness to meet and embrace the world.

Self-Awareness Through Meditation

From the point of view of self-awareness meditation, this is not about fixing ourselves or improving our abilities. Rather, Buddhist sitting meditation is a direct path to connecting with our human warmth and intuitive wisdom.

Learning How to be Mindful in Daily Life

Through this guided Buddhist meditation retreat, we can learn how to be mindful in daily life. With this, we discover an atmosphere where we can trust in our experience. We can truly feel who we are, reconnect with the natural world, and relate with human society.
