Director of Guest Services
The Director of Guest Services leads the team responsible for reception, registration, housing, travel support and general service and support of our guests. The Head of Guest Services participates in Karme Choling community life, and commits to meditation and appreciation of everyone’s basic goodness. Experience leading a team is a must. Position available now.

Programs Manager
The programs manager supervises the day-to-day activities of the Programs Department, such as training, assigning and mentoring program coordinators, facilitating interdepartmental communication, along with maintaining and updating management systems. The Manager assists the Director of Programs on projects that support programs management, including editing and creating program manuals, checklists, and developing the training curriculum for coordinators. The Manager orders and tracks materials for programs, trains guest coordinators, leads weekly meetings, and preps and occasionally coordinates programs. Tantrikas preferred. Director of Practice & Education
Join us soon if you wish to enrich the education and practice of the Karme Choling staff and greater community. We are inviting applications now!  The Director for P&E oversees all aspects of practice, study, meditation instruction and shrine room training for the Karmê Chöling community including:

  • advises and assists all other departments of Karmê Chöling with their practice and study needs;
  • supervises in-house retreats and P&E volunteers;
  • supports communication, collaboration, coordination, and creativity across departments;
  • and supports the aspiration for manifesting Shambhala culture in the KCL workplace.

Director of Human Resources
This is a very interesting position — working with people in Shambhala and applying our intention to contribute to enlightened society — it is really a great frontier! With your excellent interpersonal communication skills, flexibility and delight in being here, you will work with Senior Leadership, individual staff members and the Karme Choling Community to address personnel concerns, staffing and volunteer needs. Of course you will need to ensure we are legally compliant as an employer here in Vermont and at the federal level. Prior personnel experience and some experience with self managed teams will be most helpful.  You must be a current practitioner and an active community member in the Shambhala lineage.
