Please know that Karmê Chöling’s living space is in a converted farmhouse and, like most older homes in northern climates, is prone to mold. Experts have assured us that the molds found at Karmê Chöling are relatively benign. We follow mitigation protocols, but if you are severely immune compromised, please think carefully about your plans to spend time here. We are not able to control some environmental factors at Karmê Chöling.

Director of Development
Reporting to and in partnership with the Executive Director, the Development Director will spearhead development efforts as Karmê Chöling continues to grow. This includes leading the development team in creating and implementing the overall development strategy and fundraising plans, being at the forefront of development efforts to reach our targets, and developing a strategy for our capital campaign for housing and the Stupa. Works with staff to accomplish budget responsibilities, gift and record management, program fundraising, donor communication and appeals, and developing and maintaining donor & foundation relationships. Director of Guest Services
This supervisory assignment is responsible for  the long-term and day-to-day oversight, general service, and ongoing support of guests visiting Karmê Chöling. This assignment is also responsible for the supervision and fiscal oversight of Guest Services and Housekeeping; all guest registration and housing; all guest payments; and the clean, uplifted, welcoming feel of the indoor public and private spaces. This assignment engenders collaboration, coordination, creativity and communication across departments in a way that supports the aspiration for manifesting the Shambhala teachings in the workplace.
