Harvest of Peace

September 24

Harvest of Peace is one of four seasonal Nyida Day celebrations in Shambhala that occur on or around the solstice and equinox days. Harvest of Peace is held around the time of the autumn equinox. These holidays are important times for us to join together as a community to practice, celebrate and enjoy each other’s company.

All are welcome to join the celebration.

Tentative Schedule

  • 9am: Lhasang (fire & smoke offering) at the Stupa Site
  • 9:45am: Opening Chants & Shambhala Sadhana practice, followed by brief remarks from Karme Choling Executive Director Betsy Railla, and St. Johnsbury Center Director Tom Bryer
    • This portion of the morning will be broadcast via zoom at KCL's regular practice link. Link will be sent to all registered participants a few days before the event.
  • 12 Noon: Brunch on the front lawn or the dining tent (depending on weather)
  • Post Brunch Activities: TBA - but everyone is welcome to stay and enjoy the land and each other's company

Please Register at the link below, so that we know how many people to expect. There is no cost to attend this event but the suggested donation is $15 for anyone staying for brunch. We will gladly accept any offerings of generosity.

Final schedule, details, and zoom link for the Shambhala Sadhana, will be emailed to all registered participants in the week leading up to Harvest of Peace.
