ONLINE: Gentle Bravery: The Power of Mindfulness

with Dan Hessey

November 27 - 29, 2020

We are living in a time where it is impossible to ignore impermanence and groundlessness.

The practice of mindfulness allows us to meet our fear, stabilize our mind, and find a genuine place of peaceful abiding. This program will provide an introduction to mindfulness practice for new meditators and an opportunity to re-engage the depth and richness of shamatha for people at any level of experience.

The program starts at 9 a.m. Eastern Time on Friday, Nov. 27 and ends at 12:30 p.m. on Sunday Nov. 29. If you have a regular meditation practice, or have attended a weekthun, you are welcome to join the program starting on Saturday morning. If you are new to medition you should plan on attending the full day on Friday. The proposed schedule is:

Friday, Nov. 27: 9 am - 5:30 p.m. with regular breaks throughout the day.
Saturday, Nov. 28: 9 a.m. - 5:30 p.ml, with regular breaks throughout the day.
Sunday, Nov. 29: 9 a.m. - 12:30 p.m., with a mid-morning break.

Those who wish to go deeper are invited to read "Mindfulness in Action," by Chögyam Trungpa Rinpoche, and "Turning the Mind into an Ally" by Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche.
