Thank you for your interest in applying for a core staff position at Karmê Chöling! Our approximately thirty core staff members are the heartbeat of our community, working year-round to maintain a wakeful, uplifted environment for Karmê Chöling's many visitors.

Our staff form a community of practitioners dedicated to exploring and manifesting the wisdom of the Shambhala Buddhist teachings. We request that applicants to core staff positions make a minimum one-year commitment to live, work, practice and study in this context. Having a connection to or interest in Shambhala Buddhism is essential.

No defined skill set is necessary to live and work at Karmê Chöling, although experience in administrative work, carpentry, cleaning, cooking, finance, fundraising, guest services, kado, information technology, maintenance, marketing, and program support is especially appreciated. Our main concern is that applicants are genuinely inspired to join their personal meditation practice with a larger contemplative community.
